Jeremy Katz has worked in the book publishing industry for nearly two decades. His diverse career as a literary agent, editor, and writer has afforded him the opportunity to work with remarkable authors, all the while remaining at the top of his profession.
Katz first assumed an editorial role at St. Martin's Press, where he published the #1 New York Times Bestseller THE ARTHRITIS CURE. He then joined Putnam, publishing breakout health, fitness, and narrative titles. Rodale recruited Katz to lead its nascent Men's Health and Sports Book Group where he published more than 30 titles a year and helped define the modern notion of men's book publishing. While there, he published two New York Times Bestsellers: PETE ROSE: MY PRISON WITHOUT BARS (#1) and million-copy franchise THE ABS DIET by Men's Health Editor-in-Chief, Dave Zinczenko.
As a literary agent, Katz represents experienced, widely-known health and fitness writers and strongly credentialed medical professionals who promote ideas that can change lives such as the New York Times Bestseller NATURALLY THIN. He looks for business and personal development authors who can take ideas from the boardroom, the business schools, or the lecture circuit and adapt them for the broadest possible market. In addition, Katz seeks out strong voices in narrative non-fiction. Katz develops new, talented writers who can tell a true story with the force and power of a novel.
Katz writes for Men's Health, Bicycling, and Spirit and collaborates on health and fitness books.
A graduate of Yale University, Katz and his wife have one son.
